How Palm teaches first-time users the Pre interface
I was wondering how Palm would teach first-time users how to use the novel aspects of the Pre interface. They did it better than I could have imagined. When you turn the phone on the first time, you are presented with this video. It doesn't even call itself a teaching video, it just passively shows how to use the phone.
I bet most people won't even realize they have been taught something. Beautiful.
I love this.

When I got mine this morning, it kind of took me by surprise. It's a seamless 'setup your phone' process. You create your Palm profile, then learn the interface, get a brief video, and you're up and running.

It was a nice tutorial but I didnt like that I could not close it and just go to the desktop. I learn by figuring it out myself. I rushed threw it. The video was nice.
