What don't you like about Twitter OAuth? I find the coloring and shapes interesting, even if they're visually ugly.

They're hideous. The gradients are terrible and there's no clearly defined edges. They tried to give them depth but I think they failed.

So, just that they're ugly? Agreed. Even so, they're slightly better as affordances for "pressable" than your first favorite.

Dustin, we got rid of these ugly buttons a few months ago (notice the old theme there). They were created in a time when Twitter had no designers. We still have a bunch of ugly visual elements at Twitter.com, but I feel we're doing a better job now. Hint: check our following/followers pages.
